Posting : Interaction Designer
A mid-level role that involves conceptual thinking and implementation, while ensuring that client goals and strategy are addressed, and that timelines and project budgets are met. Interaction Designers are also called upon to interact with clients and present strategies accurately.
- Education, experience & skills
- A portfolio illustrating conceptual and visual diversity and strong execution
- Command of current design/production tools including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Competency in Flash, Dreamweaver and ImageReady
- Understanding of web implementation methods and constraints
- Experience in designing intuitive, user-centered interfaces
- PC proficiency and strong command of keyboard shortcuts
- Strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities
- Develop design solutions that respond to the client's needs, strategy, and goals
- Design overall experience and information architecture (incl: site maps, wireframes, task flows)
- Plan, organize, and structure content/projects, and subsequently compose briefs and documentation
- Apply user-centered design principles to develop effective user-flows and end to end experiences
- Evaluate usability through user testing (planning, administration, analysis and documentation)
- Meet with clients and succinctly communicate ideas and design rationale
- Efficiently execute on design directions from start to finish of project cycle
- Follow art direction to ensure efforts reach project directives
- Assist with the selection and monitoring of vendors
- Occasionally assist with the training of Interns and Junior Designers
- Work within project schedules and deadlines
